Teen Programs in November

Teens! This November we have a couple of programs just for you!

On Saturday the 14th you won't want to miss the New Moon Party- the party starts after the library closes and goes from 6:30 to 8:00pm. Registration is required (click here to register). Remember to dress as your favorite character!

Monday, November 30 at 4:00pm come and make a fun craft for the Holidays! Choose from a snowflake key chain, snowflake picture frame, snowflake bookmark, or make a sweatshirt (you bring the shirt) or wooden Santa. There is a .25 change for each item you make and you must register in the library to choose your items. Click here to register.

Programs for Kids in November

In November we have two fun programs just for kids!

Monday, November 16, join us at 7:00pm for Mad Science: Up, Up, and Away!
This show displays the incredible pressure we all live under- air pressure! Mandeburg spheres, indoor hot air balloons, giant vortex generators, the “Mad Science Jet Engine” and the “Mad Science Hovercraft” are all used to demonstrate the amazing effects of air pressure. This is one of our most popular programs, so come early for a good seat! Ages 4-12.

Monday, November 23 we welcome History Alive! (7:00pm) You won’t forget your “Night in the Library” when the history of the pilgrims comes alive through costume, story, dance, games, crafts and food. You’ll discover there is more to Thanksgiving than eating turkey! School age.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga is a physically oriented technique that uses a blend of playful, empowering and otherwise “tension-releasing” simple laughter exercises. With gentle yoga breathing and stretching exercises, rhythmic clapping and chanting of Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha in unison, a simulated laughter turns into real laughter. Laughter Yoga is done as a way to increase well-being and promote peace in the world through personal transformation. It is non-religious, non-sectarian, and non-political.
For teens & adults. Saturday, November 14 at 12:00pm.
