We love Great Reads for Girls!

Last night our Great Reads group discussed our latest book, The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick. In this fun book, four girls with very different personalities are brought together by their mothers to spend the school year reading and discussing Louisa May Alcott's Little Women. Along the way, they learn a lot about each other and the value of friendship. After our discussion, we had chocolate chip cookies and lemonade, and decorated some cute book bags!

Next month's Great Read is Allie Finkel's Rules for Girls: Moving Day by Meg Cabot. Click on the link at the left to reserve a copy and join us on November 25 at 7:00pm!

Up to our ears in Cub Scouts!

The Cub Scouts theme for October is Books, so we have given lots of tours to scout groups this month. We are glad to see that so many scouts already have library cards and come into the library frequently!

If your group (scout, church, or other) would like to schedule a library tour, please call us at 944-7686 to arrange a time when one of our librarians can show you around.

What's in the Haunted Old House?

We had a great turnout for our family Halloween program tonight, "What's in the Haunted Old House?".
Thanks to Kevin Hurst and his talented crew!

Be sure to watch the calendar for upcoming family programs, and if you missed Kevin this time, check out the main calendar at http://www.slco.lib.ut.us/promo_0908_hurst_haunted.htm for his showtimes at other library branches.
