Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2011! We have some fun stuff going on in January, so be sure to mark your calendars.
Monday Nights will be fun: on Jan. 10 we will host a Magic Show, and on Jan. 24 a Puppet Show. Both shows start at 7:00pm, so you won't want to be late!
We are also starting Storytimes again on Jan. 19 and 20, at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15 (both days)
The Music, Music, Music and Spanish Immersion Playtimes are starting up again as well, on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 11:00. Registration is required for both programs, and you can sign up on our website.

Thanksgiving Storytime

We will be having a special Thanksgiving storytime on November 17 and 18 at 10:15 and 11:15. Please note that there will not be a 1:15 storytime either day.

Halloween Storytime

Remember to wear your costume to our Halloween Storytime!

Come and trick-or-treat at the Library with your friends during storytime: On Wednesday, October 27 at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15,

and on Thursday, October 28 at 11:15 and 1:15.

Put it on your calendar and be sure to join us- it will be a scream!

Special Storytimes in October

In October we will be having some special morning programs in addition to our regular storytimes.
On Monday mornings there will be two Music Times, one at 10:00am for babies (up to a year old) and one at 11:00 for toddlers (up to 3 1/2 years old). This program will go every Monday morning in October and registration is required.

Tuesday mornings we will host a Spanish Immersion playgroup/storytime for kids 5 and under. This program will start at 11:00 and will be every Tuesday in October. Registration is required for this program.

To register for either or both of the programs, go to the Library's calendar (at http://www.slcolibrary.org/) and click on the program title. This will bring up the registration form. Please note that you need to register for each class individually.

Storytimes are coming!

Have you been waiting all summer for storytime to return?
Well, the wait is almost over! Storytimes will be back starting September 1. We will have the same schedule as before, with times on Wednesday at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15, and on Thursdays at 11:15 and 1:15, with Baby storytime on Thursdays at 10:15.

Come and have fun with us!

Pajama Time

Join us Monday, May 10 at 7:00pm for an evening storytime! We will be reading fun books and doing songs and rhymes, as well as a special craft. Bring the whole family, and you can even wear your PJs if you want!

Storytimes are finished for the Summer

Thank you so much for supporting our Storytimes- we love sharing books and rhymes with you! We have finished with our regular storytimes until Autumn, but we have a couple of evening storytime programs scheduled, along with all the fun programs and activities we have lined up for Summer! Be sure to check our calendar at http://host.evanced.info/slco/evanced/eventcalendar.asp or come into the Library and pick up a paper copy so you don't miss anything!

Storytimes are starting up again

Storytimes will begin again on January 13!
The schedule is the same as always: Wednesdays at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15, and Thursdays at 10:15 for babies, 11:15, and 1:15.
No registration is required, just come and have fun!

Guess Who's Coming to Storytime?

We will welcome a Very Special Guest to our storytimes on December 16 and 17! Come to the Kids' Desk to pick up a ticket for the 10:15 or 11:15 time on either day to be a part of this popular program!

Halloween Storytime!

Our Halloween Storytime is coming up!
Join us on October 28 and 29 for trick-or-treating in the Library*.
Don't forget to wear your costume!!


*The Wee Ones Storytime on the 29th will not be trick-or-treating.

Summer Reading is over...

but there's still fun to be had at the Library!

Storytimes will be back starting September 16, and will follow the same schedule as always:
Wednesdays at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15
Thursdays at 10:15 (for babies), 11:15, and 1:15
These are drop-in storytimes, with no registration needed.

We are also starting up No Girls Allowed on September 8 at 4:15. This fun program is for boys ages 7-11, and no registration is needed.

Great Reads for Girls begins September 22 at 8:00pm. We will be discussing The Ordinary Princess by M.M. Kaye, so get your copy today! Great Reads is a program for girls ages 8-12 with a caring adult. No registration is necessary.

Rock Band and Guitar Hero are back for the teens- come rock out every Thursday afternoon from 4-5:00.

Father Christmas Storytime

Wednesday, December 17 and Thursday, December 18 we are welcoming a special guest to storytime! There are still some tickets available for Thursday, so come and joing the fun!

Also, don't forget to join us Monday, December 22 at 6:30pm for a movie- The Muppet Christmas Carol. It is free and fun, and you can sing along if you want to!
