Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2011! We have some fun stuff going on in January, so be sure to mark your calendars.
Monday Nights will be fun: on Jan. 10 we will host a Magic Show, and on Jan. 24 a Puppet Show. Both shows start at 7:00pm, so you won't want to be late!
We are also starting Storytimes again on Jan. 19 and 20, at 10:15, 11:15, and 1:15 (both days)
The Music, Music, Music and Spanish Immersion Playtimes are starting up again as well, on Monday and Tuesday mornings at 11:00. Registration is required for both programs, and you can sign up on our website.

December Programs

Make room in your Holiday plans for Library programs!

The fun starts Saturday, December 4 with a screening of the movie Up at 2:00pm

Monday, December 6 is a Family Make & Take at 7:00pm- we will be making gift tags

The Pokemon club meets Tuesday, December 7 at 7:00pm

The Family program on Monday, December 13 is a magic show: The Magic of Christmas at 7:00pm

December 14 (Tuesday) is Great Reads for Girls at 7:00pm

December 15 and 16 your little ones won't want to miss our special Christmas Storytime! 10:15 and 11:15 both days

Monday, December 20 is a Puppet Show, the Cow Who Saved Christmas, at 7:00pm

On Wednesday, December 22 we are showing the Muppet Christmas Carol at 2:00pm

and finally, Monday, December 27 come and relax with us for Lullabies at the Library at 7:00pm

Movie Night

The Library is hosting another Movie Night on Monday, November 22 at 7:00pm.

Come join us for a showing of Squanto: A Warrior's Tale (rated PG), and at the end we will have a drawing for a DVD of The Cat in the Hat (you have to be there to win)!

Roald Dahl's Birthday is September 13!

Come celebrate his birthday with us as we hold a screening of The Witches. You can also check out his other books and movies based on them.

The movie will start at 7:00pm on Monday, September 13. Don't be late!

Storytelling Superstars!

On Monday, August 30 Wheeler Farm will host two award-winning storytellers: Andy Irwin and Antonio Sacre.
They will be performing in the Amphitheater at 7:00pm, so bring a blanket and a picnic and the whole family!

Catch the Wave Tuesdays in June!

Come and craft with us almost every Tuesday in June* from 3-5:00pm in the Bingham Creek Library Auditorium. We will make a different craft each week, and everyone is welcome!

*June 21 is County Elections, so we won't be having a craft that day- but come down and vote!

Bingham Creek Library is splashing into Summer Reading with Great Programs in June!

Join us on Monday, June 7 for Mad Science- Wacky Waves. Water does a lot more than wash your hands or quench your thirst. Take a Mad Science bath and shower. Observe the effect of centrifugal force water. Investigate water pressure and tension. Watch water mysteriously disappear and turn into a rainbow of colors. View light through water.

June 14 will be Beach Party Magic: Experience the magic of Hawaii with Anthony, the Big Kahuna. Use your imagination on this magical trip to the Hawaiian Islands. If you love summer, beaches and Hawaii, you’ll love this show. Help Anthony name his new friend (Bird Puppet). At the end of the summer there will be a drawing. The winning name will be the new name of Anthony’s friend, and the winner gets a FREE Magic Show.

On June 28 we will go on an adventure with the Utah Puppet Theater as they present The Treasure Chest: a Pirate Adventure! A young boy goes fishing and meets up with a pirate, a sea serpent, and a mermaid. Should he trust the pirate? Whatever could be inside the mysterious treasure chest? What is all that thumping, bumping and splashing? Should he open the chest or not? Preschool to elementary.

All programs are free and begin at 7:00pm in the Bingham Creek Library Auditorium.

Pajama Time

Join us Monday, May 10 at 7:00pm for an evening storytime! We will be reading fun books and doing songs and rhymes, as well as a special craft. Bring the whole family, and you can even wear your PJs if you want!

Two Fun Programs Coming Next Week!

Come to the Library on Monday, May 3 for Raptor Rapture- a fun program presented by Hawkwatch that will teach you all about these amazing birds. The finale includes a live raptor!
Then on Thursday, May 6 we have a Multicultural Music Program. Come and hear instruments and musical styles from all over the world!
Both programs are for families and begin at 7:00pm.

Board Game Day

Come play games on April 24! Scott Nieves will be bringing some fun new board games to share for an afternoon of fun at the Library!
Saturday, April 24 1:00-5:00pm in the Auditorium. No registration is required.

Monday Night Family Program

Join us April 5 at 7:00 for a fun puppet show: Your Imaginary Friends. Described as "Laugh-out-loud puppet shows, including storytelling and music, capturing the heart of Celtic folklore. High energy, quirky shows for the whole family", it is sure to be lots of fun!

Magical Dr. Seuss

Come to Bingham Creek Library on Monday, March 15 for a Seussical Magic Show!

The fun starts at 7:00 with magician Anthony White and a celebration of Dr. Seuss- come early for a good seat!

Princess and the Pea Puppet Show

Join us Monday, February 22 at 7:00pm for a puppet show!
What makes a princess? Is she a princess or not and can she pass the Queen's tricky test? Find out in this fun musical version of the Princess and the Pea.

Storyteller at Wheeler Farm

Storyteller Donald Davis will be doing a free performance at Wheeler Farm on Monday, February 1 at 7:00pm.
Please register to attend at slcolibrary.org beginning Thursday, January 28.
This program is for families, but due to space limitations, no strollers will be allowed.
